If Destination Imagination played a meaningful role in your life—whether you competed for one year or ten—there’s a new opportunity to reconnect with the community that helped shape you. Applications for the DI Alumni Council are officially open through December 1, and we’d love to invite our many global alumni to apply!

The Alumni Council is a volunteer team of former DI participants from across the U.S. and around the world. Council members work together to support alumni, collaborate with DIHQ and Affiliates, and help ensure DI remains a place where people feel encouraged and connected long after their team years end.

What Does the Alumni Council Do?

Alumni Council members:

    • Support and connect DI alumni of all ages
    • Partner with DIHQ and Affiliates on alumni-related initiatives
    • Help create meaningful alumni programming at tournaments and events
    • Develop tools, content, and resources for the alumni community
    • Champion creativity, confidence, and problem-solving as lifelong skills
    • Create spaces—virtual and in-person—where alumni feel a sense of belonging

What matters most is bringing your experiences, your ideas, and your commitment to the DI mission.

    Who Should Apply

You don’t need a specific job, title, or number of years as an alum. We’re looking for people who care about DI, bring fresh ideas, and want to make a meaningful impact.

You might be a great fit if you want to:

      • Give back to the community that helped shape you
      • Support new alumni as they enter their next chapter
      • Help DI feel connected and meaningful beyond the season
      • Create experiences that spark creativity and belonging
      • Bring your DI story and strengths to a collaborative team

If even one of these resonates with you, we’d love to hear from you!

      What to Expect

      • Applications close December 1
      • Selected candidates will be invited to a brief virtual interview
      • Registered Alumni Ambassadors will participate in a Public Vote
      • Additional members will be selected by the Council
      • New members will be announced in late December

      Apply by December 1

Applications are open through Monday, December 1. To apply, please complete DI Alumni Council form.

If you have questions about the application, time commitment, or the Council itself, please reach out to us at alumnicouncil@dihq.org.

We can’t wait to meet you!

Destination Imagination Challenge Experience tournaments are full of jaw-dropping moments, but the real magic happens long before teams ever set foot on a stage. It’s in the messy, joyful, sometimes chaotic process of bringing big ideas to life: the brainstorm sessions, the late-night builds, the teamwork breakthroughs, the epic fails and even more epic comebacks.

This season, we’re looking for DI Correspondents—Team Managers (and their teams!)—who want to help capture and share those behind-the-scenes moments that make the Challenge Experience so powerful.

Whether your team is just getting started or already knee-deep in cardboard and duct tape, we want to follow along!

What Does a DI Correspondent Do?

As a DI Correspondent, you’ll help us showcase the creative process in action by:

      • Sharing photos and videos of your team’s journey throughout the season
      • Providing short monthly updates (don’t worry—we’ll guide you with prompts!)
      • Having the opportunity to contribute a guest blog post
      • Being featured across DI’s official social media channels

It’s a fun and easy way to help inspire other teams, celebrate student creativity, and give the world a glimpse of what makes DI so special.

      How to Apply

Team Managers interested in participating should complete our application form by October 11, 2025

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at socialmedia@dihq.org.

      What’s a Dissector?
Challenge Dissectors are part of a global group of volunteers who help us fine-tune the next season’s Team Challenges. As a Dissector, you’ll review early drafts of one Team Challenge and provide thoughtful feedback to ensure it’s clear, inclusive, innovative, and inspiring for students from all walks of life. No previous experience in this role is required—we welcome fresh perspectives!

      • 🌍 Bring Your Voice to the Table: Our Dissector teams are made up of people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and careers—because great ideas come from everywhere.
      • 🚀 Support 21st-Century Learning: Whether you’re an educator, engineer, artist, or simply someone who values creativity and collaboration, your experience can directly influence student success.

      • Knowledge of one or more DI Team Challenge types (Technical, Scientific, Fine Arts, Improvisational, Engineering, Service Learning)
      • A desire to help create something meaningful—no prior experience as a Dissector necessary!

      What’s the Time Commitment?
Dissectors will be asked to review and submit feedback on two drafts of a Team Challenge:

      • Round 1: Feedback due August 18 (draft sent August 4)
      • Round 2: Feedback due September 15 (draft sent September 1)

All reviews are submitted online and can be completed on your schedule within each review window.

      Requirements

      • Must be 21 or older by August 1, 2025
      • Must be able to participate fully in both rounds of review
      • Must complete and submit all feedback online

Strong leadership is essential to nurturing the future of innovation, education, and creative problem-solving. That’s why we’re thrilled to welcome five new members to the Destination Imagination (DI) Board of Trustees—leaders who bring valuable expertise across fields including education, the arts, product development, entrepreneurship, technology, and learning strategy.

Last week, we introduced three of these new Trustees—Bronwyn Bahr, Dr. Keisha Stephenson Taylor, and Sae Ro—who are already helping to shape the future of our organization. Today, we’re proud to spotlight two additional members of this exceptional group: Rachel Tracy and Faiza Yousuf. Together, all five of these individuals help to form a dynamic and forward-thinking cohort that reflects DI’s commitment to equipping young people with the skills they need to thrive.

We’re honored to have them on board and excited for the expertise and leadership they will bring to the Destination Imagination community.

      Rachel Tracy
Rachel Tracy is a learning and development strategist with a passion for designing impactful, learner-centered programs that prepare individuals for real-world success. At The Coca-Cola Company, Rachel applies her engineering mindset to improve HR operations, create professional development initiatives, and lead learning experiences that drive both individual growth and business outcomes.

Her educational philosophy is grounded in constructivist learning—emphasizing hands-on, collaborative, and reflective experiences. A former STEM teacher and program director, Rachel believes in the power of active learning to build confidence, foster independence, and inspire a lifelong love of learning. She’s committed to building strong talent pipelines and creating meaningful learning journeys for all.

Rachel’s own DI journey began in 7th grade in Texas, where her team advanced to Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee—a moment that helped shape her path in education and leadership. Now based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, she enjoys outdoor adventures with her husband, young son, and energetic lab puppy. Whether on a beach or at Disney World, Rachel continues to embrace joy, challenge, and curiosity in all that she does.

      Faiza Yousuf
Faiza Yousuf is an accomplished product and program leader with over 15 years of experience building tech products, leading agile teams, and driving innovation. She specializes in product lifecycle management, aligning user experience with business strategy, and scaling global solutions. Through her consulting practice, she partners with organizations such as TestGorilla, Chegg Skills, and SkillSoft.

Faiza is also a passionate entrepreneur. She founded WomenInTechPK—Pakistan’s largest tech community for women—and co-founded CodeGirls, a free coding bootcamp with a 65% job placement rate that has trained over 800 women. Additionally, her career accelerator, CaterpillHERs, has supported 100+ startups and launched koi.work, an HR-tech platform for hiring and managing tech talent.

An international speaker and advocate for inclusive innovation, Faiza has been recognized by Google, the White House, USAID, UNDP, and more.

      Bronwyn Bahr
Bronwyn Bahr is a seasoned nonprofit leader with a strong background in arts administration and performance. She currently serves as the Special Projects Administrator at Omaha Performing Arts, where she leads organization-wide initiatives and government affairs strategy. A Destination Imagination alumna and longtime volunteer, Bronwyn also serves as DI’s Alumni Council Outreach Director and as the Regional/Affiliate Challenge Master for Fine Arts in Nebraska. Her previous board service includes the Nebraska Arts Action Fund, Pottawattamie Arts, Culture, and Entertainment, and the Sioux City International Film Festival. Bronwyn holds a BFA in Drama from NYU and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

      Sae Ro
Sae Ro is the Head of Customer Executive Engagement at Moveworks, where he leads customer engagement efforts, including advisory boards, regional events, and AI strategy workshops. With a career spanning healthcare operations, startups, management consulting, and customer experience, Sae brings deep expertise in strategy, innovation, and technology. He earned his B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Maryland and an M.S. in Health Systems from Georgetown University. Sae is also a proud DI parent—his daughter Emma is an active team member at Glenelg Country School.

      Keisha Stephenson Taylor, Ed.D.
Dr. Keisha Stephenson Taylor is the Senior Director of Alumni & Postsecondary Engagement at NAF, a national organization focused on preparing high school students for college, careers, and the future. A recognized expert in college and career readiness, Keisha leads postsecondary planning and alumni engagement efforts, including workforce development programs in collaboration with corporate partners. With over two decades of community service and nonprofit board experience, she has championed causes ranging from education and veterans’ support to arts and health awareness. Keisha holds a BA and MA from Rowan University and earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University at age 29. She is the proud mother of two sons and enjoys traveling and new hobbies with her husband of 23 years.

These five new Trustees bring a remarkable blend of experience, insight, and enthusiasm to our leadership team. Their collective contributions will help shape the future of Destination Imagination as we continue to expand access to transformative learning experiences for students around the world.

You’re helping nurture the next generation of creative thinkers, innovators, and leaders!
